Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to identify the gap between the availability of facilities and infrastructure and their optimal utilization, analyze the factors affecting school readiness, and formulate strategies to ensure that the transformation towards a Smart School can proceed functionally, systematically, and sustainably. The method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various scientific journals, academic books, and research reports published in the last five years through databases such as Google Scholar and ResearchGate. The data analysis process was conducted using content analysis techniques, grouping findings based on thematic themes and comparing results across studies. The research results show that the readiness of schools in implementing Smart School is influenced by four main factors: technology infrastructure, human resource competence, school policies and management, as well as periodic monitoring and evaluation. The main obstacles found are the disparity in ICT infrastructure between regions, the lack of teacher training, and weak strategic planning. This article recommends enhancement strategies such as strengthening infrastructure, continuous training, forming school ICT teams, and developing a strategic plan for the digitalization of education to create an adaptive and sustainable technology-based education ecosystem.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kesiapan sekolah, dan menyusun strategi dalam menerapkan konsep Smart School. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku akademik, dan laporan penelitian yang diterbitkan dalam lima tahun terakhir melalui basis data seperti Google Scholar dan ResearchGate. Proses analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis), dengan mengelompokkan temuan-temuan berdasarkan tema tematik dan membandingkan hasil antar studi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan sekolah dalam implementasi Smart School dipengaruhi oleh empat faktor utama: sarana dan prasarana teknologi, kompetensi sumber daya manusia, kebijakan dan manajemen sekolah, serta monitoring dan evaluasi berkala. Kendala utama yang ditemukan adalah ketimpangan infrastruktur TIK antar wilayah, kurangnya pelatihan guru, serta lemahnya perencanaan strategis. Artikel ini merekomendasikan strategi peningkatan seperti penguatan infrastruktur, pelatihan berkelanjutan, pembentukan tim TIK sekolah, serta penyusunan rencana strategis digitalisasi pendidikan untuk mewujudkan ekosistem pendidikan berbasis teknologi yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan.
